Why use this template?
As an executive at a venture-backed SaaS company, I have to build Google Slide presentations every month.
Much of my job is educating executives and the broader company on 3 things:
- What's our strategy and our plan to execute on the strategy?
- What work did we complete last month / quarter?
- How did those activities lead to tangible business results?
Google Slides serve as a good medium to present whatever story I need to tell.
I can include visuals like images and charts. All in the spirit of helping others understand what's going on.
If it were up to me, I'd just have someone else create my slide decks. I don't actually enjoy creating slides.
I'd prefer to write the content down on a piece of paper and have someone else make the slides.
Unfortunately, I don't have the luxury of doing that. I still have to build my own slides whether it be for internal employees or external board members.
So to make building slide decks less painful in Google Slides, I try to use keyboard shortcuts as much as possible to speed up my work.
