Q: What is an OKR and how is it different from a task list?
A: Objectives set the qualitative direction, while Key Results define measurable outcomes. Then I use initiatives as critical projects to execute that will enable us to achieve our OKRs. A task list is often a assortment of things to do without necessarily being connected to any coordinate strategy or goal.
Q: Does this work outside of sales?
A: Absolutely, this framework works across departments for any organization. However, it's not always necessary, particularly in roles where the day to day tasks are well structured and clearly understood. This template is specifically optimized for B2B sales teams.
Q: Will it work in excel?
A: It's built for Google Sheets. You can make a copy of it for your Google Drive. You can also export it to excel, though some formatting and formulas may need slight modification for excel.
